Day 3 - Local School Experience

Our Riverlites visited Yamazato Elementary School which was one of the schools that were destroyed during the Atomic Bombing. 1500 students perished on that day. Today, the rebuilt school facility stands at the exact same location and is a national monument.

The Riverlites had a meaningful and wonderful time in the school as they experienced Japanese school life with the local Primary 5 pupils.

Ice-cream never tasted this nice, especially when it's the Principal's treat.

Oh, by the way, the Riverlites had a second chance in charging for the Japanese Curry from the 100 yen shop in Downtown, Nagasaki again today. They made sure Mr Loh did not get his hands on any..........(Little did they know that Mr Loh had enough of them already).

Here are some clips from today's activities.

Here comes the lunch, all dress in white

Greetings from Nagasaki, in English

Please note that we will be on a ferry tomorrow night travelling from Nagasaki to Kobe and thus will not be able to update on Day 4. However, stay tuned as we bring you more updates on Day 5.

Hi Le Xuan,
U are looking beautiful in ur Korean Outfit. Remember you are always on candid camera. I bet you have made lots of friends by now. Ahh...children serving children, we must suggest that to Mr Yeo for Riverlites, then we dun need so many parents volunteer for the P1 orientation after that..lol. It's life skill, piping hot lid covers, but the children did it, removing them without screaming for help..Le xuan, do look after yourself as well as your friends too. That also include your teachers. (saw Mdm Wong without umbrella during the 1 minute of silence)You will be on the ferry tonight, if needed just pop in the pill half an hour b4 the trip. I'm sure you are fine with all the activities going on around you. No time to miss us but it's ok, come back just relate to us all the beautiful memories to us..looking forward to that from u. Take lots of pixs.

Lots of hugs, kisses and luv,
Mummy, Daddy & Qi
