Day 5 - Entering Kobe and Awaji Island

The Riverlites arrived in Kobe at 0600hr and went to the Earthquake Museum where they learnt about the 1995 Kobe Earthquake. They also learnt about what to do during an earthquake.

They then went to the Kodomo Kai which is the Children Association of the Hyogo Prefecture where the volunteers there assisted the Riverlites in making their own handicraft.

Then, the Riverlites finally meet their host family in Awaji Island in the evening.

Showing off the handicraft they have made

The pictures that follow show the matching of the host family to the Riverlites. (Apologies if any of your children is being missed out. They will be added in when there is another opportunity in getting a network to update the blog.)

Once again, the entry will be kept short. However, please rest assure that more updates will follow whenever network is available.

Mr. Yeo and teachers,

Thank you and wishing you all the best.

To my lovely Geng Wei, how are you?
Tell you a silly thing. Until today, I'm just realized that some photos were not under privacy report. Just click on the photo and we can see you very clear, even a wrinkle also...not you lah! Cheers! We don't need to search and guess where you are already.
Do you have any silly / funny things to share?

I saw your host family – Shiota Kumi. She looks beautiful and amiable.

Love,
Mum

I can see your ‘very happy face’ on the photos, so I am guessing you are very enjoyable with your Japan-style life now with the totally fresh experience, right? Thanks for Mr.Yeo, Mr.Loh, Mdm.Wong, Mr.Sim and host families…
Yan Zhi auntie already went back to China on 4/6/2008.
Another thing, sorry to tell you that your red fish was found missing yesterday, and nowhere to find…
Grandma keeps telling me to remind you to drink more water, and care yourself properly…
OK lou, Miss you so much; and have a good night and weekend!
