Day 9 - Awaji School Experience

2 more days on the island before the Riverlites say goodbye to this beautiful piece of land.

The Riverlites visited Yamada Elementary early in the morning and headed out to the paddy field to try their hands on rice seedling transplanting.

After lunch, the Riverlites had a session of calligraphy before heading home to their respective host families.

Hi beloved Ben,

Today we got to see at least 2 photos with you in it! Hope you've been enjoying yourself and learning heaps. Did you go out with your host family over the weekends? We saw that they have 2 little boys. Am sure you'd have fun with them.

Mummy and Papa miss you lots. Uncle Simon and Jeremy are also updating themselves with your activities in Japan on this blog. Shawn yiyi too.

We are all looking forward to see you on Wed night. Till then, have fun and take care.

Hi Julia
You look great in the video clip but why do you say "bye bye" ? Quote by Papa. I saw a packet of milk in your tray, did you drink it or you give it away?
Cya!

Papa & Jo

Dearest Princess,
Didn't see much of ur pix today. It's rather difficult to see the video as the buffering keeps stopping halfway. So u wore ur white shorts to plant rice..LOL, must be all muddy after the whole session. Tsk Tsk Tsk, quite a problem on the washing, do tell ur host it's ok if there are stains after washing. (don't bother) anyway, u just have lots of fun, dun worry over the shorts. As for the leaf for the mochi, I think we could do away with that, we try doing that when u are back. It's so nice of ur host's son to let you email us everyday. 2 more days, tomorrow u gonna eat sashimi..yummy yummy.
Lately, we brought Bella to nearby field to run, really nice. When u r back, we shall do it together. Bella runs like a rocket.

Love,

Mummy, Daddy, Qi

My dear Geng Wei,

We look forward to seeing you on this coming Wed. Grandpa and grandma want to see you on that day also.

Did you spend all your yen? Maybe can do the last shopping in the Japan airport. Just buy whatever you like but don’t over your budget, ok!

Please give my best regards to your host family.

Love,
Dad, Mum and Bo Hua
